Let me tell you about myself. I was born and raised in Kendal and now live in the town of Carnforth, with my wife and our son.
I attended Plymouth College of art and design where I gained a distinction in photography.
I have been taking photographs in north Lancashire and the Lake District for as long as I can remember.
I am a film-based photographer, as I believe this still gives the best results. I use Canon camera equipment, Kodak Porta colour and Ilford back and white film giving the most natural colour reproduction and the most atmospheric black and white images.
Working with film used to mean I was limited to photographic prints, but thanks to new technology film is now as versatile as digital photography, (with my negatives scanned so each one is a file of 30 mega bytes, giving the equivalent quality of a 35 mega pixel digital camera) which means I can now offer your photographs as a traditional ‘dry mount’ album, on a CD; playable on your DVD player and as a high quality ‘Photo Story Book’.
I know there is a trend at the moment to have your photographs altered digitally (having both colour and monochrome in the same picture) but I feel the best way to record your special day is to be true to the event.
Please be aware due to the limitations of this site that the image reproduction quality shown on here does not represent the quality of the final product.
